5 Relationship Rules for Showing Commitment to Your Partner

By Mark Steve

So, you are committed to your partner but don’t know how to express it?

No, worries!

Expressing commitment is not limited to saying “I love you” to one another.  True commitment means much more than that, it has an absolute divine and pure meaning which lasts for a lifetime.

So, let’s discuss five amazing ways to show your commitment towards your partner.

Relationship Rules

1. Go out of your way to make your partner feel special.

When you are in a serious and committed relationship, the expression “100%” doesn’t mean much unless you show it. It won’t be enough if you don’t make your partner feel special.

Don’t wait! Give them beautiful and meaningful things to make them feel extra special. Tell them how important they are in your life.

2. Be completely transparent with each other.

Complete transparency is difficult to accomplish, in light of the fact that most of us tend to be rather unreliable. However, if you cherish each sufficiently to overlook weaknesses and be totally open and straightforward with each other, that is when you know you are ready to show complete commitment by demonstrating total transparency.

I’m not simply talking about sharing little insecurities here, I’m talking about being completely open and honest with each other with the hard stuff. Transparency is when you two don’t reconsider before giving the other individual your cell phone or telling each other things you may be embarrassed or ashamed by.

3. Leave EGO out of it.

In a committed relationship, ego goes straight out the window. Yes, you will have pride, but that’s very different from ego. To really rid yourself of ego in a relationship, you will never think of yourself above your partner and your partner will do the same. You will see each other on the same level regardless of your backgrounds.

For example, my girlfriend belongs to a very rich and noble family and I don’t. I’m self-made and my wealth doesn’t come from my family. So if she were egotistical, she would have treated me differently, but she never has, since day one. When you truly love one another, ego doesn’t exist.

4. Learn from each other.

A standout among other parts of being in a committed relationship is that you expose your vulnerabilities and learn from each other. When you genuinely cherish somebody, you let your guard down, you show your inner self, and you open yourself up from learning things from your partner.

5. Think about your partner before making big decisions.

A committed relationship means that you are responsible for a lot of things, including your partner’s well-being. When you are truly in love with one another, you will always think about them before making any major decisions. There are pros and cons to everything in life but weighing up your partner’s feelings of your potential choices is a must.

You can weigh up the pros and cons of your future choices by talking them through with
someone or listing them on paper, on your computer, or phone so you can see them in black and white. Just remember to think about your partner first, and see how your decision affects them.
